Rock Garden Added to Klawock Senior Center

Last year, an 18 month renovation project was completed at the Klawock Senior Center.  The renovation included upgrades to the 10 existing one-bedroom apartments as well as the addition of 8 two-bedroom, ADA accessible apartments, a spacious living room in the downstairs lobby, a restaurant style kitchen and enlarged dining room, laundry facilities, exercise room, and computer and reading room.

Through the 18 months of construction, Senior Center resident Joy Weber saved four rhododendrons, with the hopes of planting them when construction was completed.  Last summer, Joy, along with friends Gene and Sharon Merrill, planted a rock garden 60 foot 

long and 10 foot high at the Senior Center entrance, making the new, already beautiful Senior Center even more beautiful.
